Each year, our 5th grade students have the opportunity to attend overnight, outdoor school for one week at the beautiful Cispus Learning Center in Randle, WA. Mint Valley students attended Cispus October 1-4, 2024, and had the time of their lives! The weather was beautiful so they were able to take advantage of all the activities like identifying plants and animals native to the Pacific Northwest, hiking to a waterfall, making survival forts and even skits around the campfire. Cispus is a special place where friendships are deepened and new ones are forged. It’s not unusual to see kids that weren’t particularly outgoing before Cispus come back with fresh confidence and new friends. (*Bonus is the camp cat, Ranch, who is always so happy to accompany kids on group hikes and provide cuddles!)
