Longview Public Schools is proud to recognize Jessica McWain of Mint Valley Elementary as our November Volunteer of the Month!

Jessica has been a dedicated volunteer at Mint Valley for the past four years, and her impact on students and staff continues to shine. This year, she volunteers weekly in Ms. Gaskins’ 2nd/3rd-grade classroom, supporting reading and math instruction and helping with the many behind-the-scenes tasks that keep classrooms running smoothly. From organizing materials to prepping projects and student supplies, Jessica is always ready to lend a hand wherever it’s needed.

Her commitment doesn’t stop there. After finishing in Ms. Gaskins’ room, Jessica often visits other classrooms to offer support, spending much of her day helping teachers throughout the building. She is also an active member of the PTO and recently volunteered at the Scholastic Book Fair, assisting students and families in choosing just the right books.

Jessica’s reliability, positivity, and willingness to jump in at any moment truly reflect the spirit and values of Mint Valley. Her ongoing support makes a meaningful difference in the daily experience of students and staff, and our schools are better because of her dedication.
